Carletto the prince of monsters (????, Kaibutsu-kun) is a Japanese anime series adapted from the homonymous manga by Fujiko Fujio, the author also of Doraemon. The first series of 1968 consists of 50 episodes, while the second, in 1980, from 188 episodes of 10 '. In Italy it was aired for the first time in Italy and then by 1 regional networks since the early eighties, but remounted to a total of 104 episodes.

There are also 2 movies based on the series, entitled Invitation to the land of monsters (?????????????, Kaibutsuland and no Shotai) and the sword of demon (??????????, Demon no Ken).

La prima serie del 1968 è composta da 50 episodi, mentre la seconda, del 1980, da 188 episodi di 10'. In Italia è stato trasmesso per la prima volta da Italia 1 e successivamente da reti regionali a partire dai primi anni ottanta, ma rimontato per un totale di 104 episodi.

Esistono inoltre 2 film basati sulla serie, intitolati Invito al paese dei mostri (???? ?????????, Kaibutsuland e no Shotai) e La spada del demone (???? ??????, Demon no Ken).

Carletto invita Hiroshi a trascorrere le vacanze di primavera nel fantastico mondo di Mostrilandia.
