Recorded at San Francisco\'s Cow Palace one October night in 1978, it spotlights Young\'s versatility. The talented and magnetic performer switches easily between playing solo on acoustic guitar or piano on tracks like \"Sugar Mountain\" and \"Comes a Time\" and totally rocking out with Crazy Horse on \"Cinnamon Girl\" and the blustery closer \"Like a Hurricane.

Throwback choice is the wonderful 12-string number called Thrasher, which was hands-down my favorite of the new songs introduced at the Boarding House (and on the Rust Never Sleeps album). I find it very hypnotic musically and the lyrics so evocative; I’ve always loved it. I had kind of forgotten how cool this time in Neil years were its like finding a lost best friend.
